Acne Spot Treatments Are Best When They're Natural Containing Only Whole Organic Ingredients!

by Gerald Steinert

Acne problems will usually be accompanied by oily skin. This is because clogged skin pores will usually be a result of too much sebum produced by the sebaceous glands.

The best way of dealing with this problem is to establish a regular cleansing routine. While the more serious acne forms should be treated by a medical professional, the standard cases of acne that are usually mild in nature can best be treated by a skin care routine. Even more so than with an acne cream.

Find out How to Cleanse Oily Skin

If you have oily skin you can use a soapy cleanser. However, stay away from soaps because they can dry out your skin and are in no way comparable to soapy cleansers. The drier your skin is the more likely it will break or crack and let in acne bacteria.

A soapy, gel cleanser is perfect for your acne skin, especially if that product contains salicylic acid or retinol. Both of these ingredients can help stabilize the production of sebum, balance the rate of cell shedding, and keep debris from clogging the pores.

Many people do not believe it, but natural acne remedies are actually quite useful for oily skin. A great natural cleansers for oily skin is milk of magnesia. It's quite simple to use, all you need to do is rub it on your skin and rinse off.

Follow Up with Toning and Exfoliating

A daily cleansing routine should also consider the use of a toner, however, this step can be skipped if your cleanser is capable of removing all of the makeup, residue, and excess sebum from your skin. If at any point you decide that using a toner is necessary, make sure that it is alcohol free.

Unlike toning, exfoliating your skin is vital and should never be avoided. On average you should exfoliate about once a week. This will depend on your age and skin condition of course. To exfoliate choose a scrub or use a product with salicylic acid.

A scrub is considered a mechanical exfoliant while salicylic acid is a chemical exfoliant. Both products are a good option, but the final choice will depend on your personal preferences. Of course, never forget to moisturize your skin even if you have oily skin!

Just because you have oily skin, do not assume that it does not require a moisturizer. The problem with oily skin is excess oil not excess moisture. While keeping this in mind, make sure that you find a moisturizer that is oil-free and apply it twice a day.
